Last night Uncle Josh treated us to "The Lion King" at the theater. That is where people dress up in costumes and act out stories. We rode a new taxi to the theater and it even had seatbelts. Then we had to walk a little way to get to the line to go in. The play was really good but it did not start until 8pm and I am usually getting ready to go to bed about that time. It was very late when we got back to Molly's apartment but Bentley was waiting for us. I ate a bowl of oatmeal and then went to bed.
Grama Jo told me we had to get up at 3am to get our ride to the airport. Our plane was leaving at 5:30am. I did not wake up but Papa and Grama Jo did. Papa had to carry all the luggage and my carseat down all the stairs and Grama Jo said she carried me ---- I was ASLEEP! They said we sat on the stoop until the car came and then rode about 30 minutes out to JFK airport. We unloaded the car, got our luggage checked, took the luggage to security, went through security (including taking our shoes off and putting them back on) and waited for the plane. I woke up when Papa sat me down on the seat in the plane. I looked out the window and the sky was pink and purple. It was real pretty. They told me the sun was coming up. Grama Jo and I did not even wait for the plane to take off to Houston, we just went to sleep.
I woke up and ate a bowl of Cheerios but Grama Jo kept sleeping. She had not gone to bed because she did the blog and then packed and cleaned up around the apartment a little. Finally Grama Jo woke up and ate her Cheerios. Then we watched the plane land and we were in Houston, TX. That is another state to add to my list of all the ones I have been in.
We got off the plane and found some more breakfast. Papa was getting hungry and wanted eggs, but Grama Jo and I ate pancakes from McDonalds. They sure were good. I ate 4 pancakes. Then we found the gate to wait for our plane to Fayetteville. We read books on that plane and Grama slept a little. I was getting excited to see my brother and my sister. My mom was bringing them to the airport to meet me. I was afraid we beat her to the airport so I called her from the plane but she said they were there at the luggage place.
When I got down the escalator I saw them and started running and Beck ran to me and we hugged. I picked him up hugging I was so glad to see him. Then I hugged Sujina and then my mom. She had tears in her eyes she was so glad to see me.
We got Beck's suitcase (he had loaned it to me because it had wheels) and I put green frog on for a ride. Beck pulled my suitcase out to the car for me. Wasn't that a nice brother? I told him all about a giant piece of a tree I saw at the museum (Ed. note: it was a huge cross-section of one of the biggest Redwood trees that had taken 2 men 13 days to cut down in 1895!) and Beck said, "no way!"
We all got in mom's van and stopped at Wendy's for some lunch and headed to my house. The box was there from FAO Swartz so Beck got his backhoe and I got my excavator and Sujina got her toys for the tub. We got to play in the sandpile and it was nice to be back on grass.
I sure had lots of fun with Uncle Josh and Molly and with Papa and Grama Jo but it is really good to be back home with my dad and mom and my brother and sister. I told Beck that next time he will get to go too.
Now I am looking for Josh, Molly and Bentley to get to Fayetteville so we can play some more.
