going to new york city with Papa and Grama Jo
we left my house this morning about 8am and Beck was sick
later we learned he had strep throat
we went north up to Missouri and stopped at Applebee's for lunch
I had a grilled cheese sandwich and frenchfries with lots of catsup
We drove ALL day and Grama Jo and I read lots of books
We read "The Lion King" and we will go see that on stage in NYC
We counted 25 MacDonalds today
We went across the biggest river in the United States today
It is the Mississippi
We crossed it by St. Louis on a high bridge
That river is REALLY big
We saw LOTS of barges on it
We were in 3 different states besides Arkansas
They were Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana
We are staying the night close to Indianapolis and they are having a big car race here soon
The lady at the front desk gave me a cookie fresh out of the oven and a checkered flag like they use at the end of the race
After we had supper at Cracker Barrell we all three went swimming.
Papa said we lost an hour today so we are going to sleep.
More driving tomorrow
